Nice debut,Sameer. Its so heartening to see you come up with something different and the most loving part is you have dedicated it to ICC and Dr.Gokhale.
That shows your commitment and also love for your seniors and viewers.

Thank you. Reagional IJC are most welcome though I can't follow marathi 100%.

It seems I'll have to create another language column in IOB.

If you post its english version also then it'll be the first indrajal in three languages as its gujrati version is posted by kit walker on his blog.

Cool stuff! The ads are nice even if they are in Marathi. I usually love to see the inside of the back cover to see the date.

I would love to see some old Tamil Indrajals some day :o)

Dear Sameer
You kept your promise. This is a great comic too for a starter. Am sure main course will follow later. No rush, let me digest it slowly. Thanks for that.
In terms of nostalgia, I think Indrajals esp. Phantoms will always be remembered. You go thro' phases when u r growing. As a child of 9 year old or something I used to go to bed with Phantoms under my pillow hoping that I will at least visit the Denkali and the skull cave in my dream. It never happened though. At one point my parents were so concerned with my obscesion with the Phantoms that they hid all my treasured comics and thraetened to give it away to 'raddiwala' which they nearly did. I used to take my comics to the school for the benefit of my friends and have suffered the agony of some being confiscated by my teachers.I was reported to the head as comics were thought to poison the language. Some great deals were made by trading comics with cousins and friends. Often a 'bad deal' with especially with younger children got reported to the parents. I particularly remember an old comic in which Phantom becomes'Adhbhoot Burkhadhari' a heavy weight champion boxer to raise money for the reconstruction of burnt out school for the disabled kids. If my memory serves me well it was the only time Diana Palmer doubts Phantom's true intentions and dumps him for being greedy and power hungry. This comic made quite an impact on my 'bal man' (childhood innocent mind) and for some reasons I wanted to acquire as many copies of this comic as possible. Without telling my sister I traded one of her Flash gordon comic(she used to fancy blond Flash) with grave consequences as I traded it with Caroline, my sisters on and off girl friend who was actually Seema but was named Caoline after Col Week's daughter(her father was a Major in the Indian Army, smoked a pipe like Col Weeks and she had freckles like Caroline). All the kids in the neighbourhood were named appropriately. A pot bellied boy was Gooran, a pretty thick mopped haired Rex and his brother Tom tom, one of our spctacled teachers Ms Tagama, a fat girl Wamba, and her father old man Moze. I also remember we all laughed when a friend of mine obviously answered 'bandar'when asked who are the dwarf tribe in Africa as most Phantom Phans will remember pygmies as Bandars.
Sorry got to go as been called up here in the Field hosp in Basra.

Raj Thackeray sends his greetings to you, I am sure.. :-) Marathi Manoos, including Phantoms are all that he can think of..

Hey man, I just wonder so much of pain you have taken to post all these comics for us. I am a die hard fan of Indrajaal comics. While Phantom and his secret world facinates me, I like Rip Kirby at the same time for the good stories in his comics.

Thanks for making these comics available to everyone.
